About Caoimhe
Caoimhe is an award-winning Adjunct Professor (Irish language, Irish Cinema, Irish literature and Irish history) with over 10 years of teaching experience and e-learning expertise. She is skilled at curriculum development, course design, research and public speaking. Additionally, Caoimhe has experience in scriptwriting, translation, and developing Irish language software for tech companies. From time to time, Caoimhe is a guest on several radio shows and podcasts on BBC, RTÉ, TG4, RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta and Newstalk. She is on the board of Doc'n Roll Film Festival and is a seasoned Irish culture and cinema curator and programmer.
In February 2020, she received a Top 40 Under 40 Award from the Irish Echo, the largest Irish American weekly newspaper in circulation. Caoimhe also received recognition from the New York State Senate for her work promoting the Irish language, Irish arts and culture in the US.
In August 2021, The Irish Echo honored her and other active members of the non-profit Irish American community at their annual Big Irish Campfire conference in New York. She was awarded 'The Rebuilder's Medal' in recognition of her excellence in teaching and promoting the Irish language & culture across the U.S. on digital platforms during the height of the pandemic.
In 2015, Caoimhe worked on the Irish Film & Television Academy (IFTA) award nominated documentary series, GAA USA.
